Camping in Julian

So we went camping up in Julian (a cute bed and breakfast town known for its apple pies) with a bunch of people from the neighborhood over memorial day weekend. We had the whole area rented out and we had so much fun. We went hiking, the kids played on their toys, we had a water balloon fight, a campfire, smores, etc!! look closely at what is in Bella and Sydney's hand--fishing poles! they practiced casting the whole weekend and bella had a large piece of wood attached to the end. Since then she has gone fishing again and the practice has made a difference, she can cast really well now!

Look out! you don't want to mess with Bella and her Gun!

Olivia and granddad, this little girl always has a smile on her face!

the whole gang going for a hike!

don't ask me what bella is doing, at least sydney has a cute face!

the girls hiking and leading the way for the whole group!

I thought this tree was so interesting. You can clearly see where the fire had gotten to it. I believe it was the Cedar fire ??!

Did I tell you Ava LOVES dinosaurs and books, and what a combination when it is a Dinosaur book!

Olivia with her mouth open again!

the water balloons were filled and it took over an hour, they were gone in about 5 minutes and Brad became the target!

let the throwing begin!!

brad asking for it!

This is where his hands remained the rest of the time! LOOK closely at this picture at Brads chest, there is a balloon that is just starting to hit him--good photography don't you think (actually just luck but why not take credit for it!)

I uttered a couple words "get granddad garey" and that was all it took for him to be another target!

Bella and granddad admiring the mess in front of the motorhome!

Palm Springs Vacation

So I went a little crazy with the quantity of pictures in this post. It is from our vacation in the beginning of May to Palm Springs with Brads parents. The weather was beautiful and everyone had such a great time. We swam every day, went out for great sushi, played Wii in the rec. room, worked out, and enjoyed the nice summer nights! the family right before brad and I went out for absolutely amazing sushi. We never had better salmon in our lives!

after the jump!

Olivia loved the water too, and we had to put her in to keep her cool!

me and my girls in the hot tub!

the girls playing on the extra living room bed! thought it would be a good pic since they were all in the same area at the same time.

Ok there is evidence in her hand that she had sunscreen on the entire trip and we reapplied throughout the day. She is soooo tan. even with the zinc oxide and 50 sunscreen!

the girls hanging out in the living room of the Villa!

Ava relaxing on daddy after playing and swimming.

Ava playing in the tunnel of at the park at the resort! This place was definitely designed with kids in mind.

Grams and Bella swimming.

some pics from April 2009

Just some pics of the girls from mid April. Love some of the ones of Ava reading below. And had to take some pics of Olivia when she was just about 4 months old! I did not pose her, this is how she decided to read the entire book!

she is my first pacifier baby!

the girls are always wrestling and playing on the ground together. Ava loves to imitate Isabella--"monkey see monkey do" type thing!

Olivia on our day bed

this classic Olivia, always ready to eat and talk!!

I love this, Bella is reading a princess barbie book to her.

she is a quick study and is now reading it herself!

Trying to play catch up April 2009

So I am once again trying to play catch up with all the pics on this website. So all of these pics are from April 2009. Most of them are from Easter weekend and the last one is my freshmen year college roommate that I reconnected with on facebook. She, her husband, and her adorable 5 boys came in to visit San Diego for their springbreak and we were fortunate enough to meet up for a night at our house. Ava loves riding the ponies, here we are at Santee Lakes Easter weekend
Bella loves the horse too!

waiting for the Easter egg hunt to start

Isabella did great although she is a little shy in this picture

getting ready to color eggs
Ava discovering that the coloring colors more than just eggs

Isabella would take eggs we already colored and color them again she was having such a good time.

Great to see you Colleen, we are bummed that you will not be moving here after all:(
